Shipping & Delivery Policy

Delivery

We offer a professional delivery service for all furniture purchased from Castilian Woodcraft, whether it is a restored antique or a bespoke piece made in our workshop.

Our standard delivery charge is £85. This includes both in-person local deliveries carried out by Alex and insured courier deliveries for trips further afield.

For deliveries of significant distance (e.g. to Scotland or off the UK mainland) or for deliveries too large for courier assistance, additional charges may apply. These charges are based on the distance, access requirements and nature of the furniture. In particular, a higher delivery charge may be necessary where:

• The delivery address is further a significant distance from our workshop or off the UK mainland.

• The furniture is particularly large, heavy or difficult to handle.

• A two-person delivery team is required.

• There are particularly challenging access requirements, such as narrow staircases or restricted access.

If an additional delivery charge applies, we will always discuss it with you and agree on the cost before arranging delivery. We will never add an unexpected delivery charge without first making you aware.

We take great care when delivering furniture, particularly antique and restored pieces. We aim to ensure your furniture arrives safely and in the condition you expect so all items are wrapped and strapped to ensure safe travel.

We will arrange a suitable delivery date with you in advance and, where appropriate, discuss access to your property to ensure our trusted courier or we can safely deliver the piece.

Our personal delivery service
Whenever we can, we will deliver your furniture personally. For larger or more delicate items, we may  need a two-person delivery service to ensure the furniture can be handled safely and without unnecessary risk to the piece or your property.

If you are unsure whether your location or furniture will require additional delivery arrangements, please contact us before placing your order and we will be happy to provide a delivery quote.
